Revenue Growth (YoY)
How much the company’s revenue (its total sales) grew compared with the same period a year ago — “YoY” means year-over-year — with the sector median alongside. It’s the cleanest read on demand for what the company sells and how fast it’s expanding; sustained revenue growth is ultimately what drives earnings and the stock higher. A figure well above the sector suggests a business taking market share, while flat or negative growth is a yellow flag worth understanding before you buy. Pair it with profitability: growth that never turns into profit can burn cash rather than build value.
