Total Debt

Everything the company has borrowed and must repay with interest: bank loans, bonds and similar obligations, short-term and long-term together. Debt is not bad in itself; many strong businesses borrow cheaply to grow. What matters is how it compares with the cash on hand and the profit available to pay the interest, which is why it sits beside cash here and beside interest coverage on the Overview.
