Previous Close
The official closing price of the trading session before the current (or most recent) one. It is the baseline a day’s move is measured from: the day’s change and percentage change compare the latest price against this number, which is why every quote page shows it. On its own it is just a reference point; next to the current price it tells you how far the stock has travelled since that session’s closing bell.
