Estimate Range

The lowest and highest forecasts among the analysts who cover the company, with how many analysts there are. The consensus is only their average, and the range says how much to trust it: a narrow range from many analysts means the Street broadly agrees, while a wide range or just one or two analysts means the average hides real uncertainty. The spread is the range as a share of the consensus, so a spread of 10% means the highest and lowest forecasts sit about 10% of the average apart.
