Delete Your Account
Meridian · Daedalus Data Labs, LLC
Option 1 — Delete it yourself, in the app
Open Meridian and sign in. Tap Profile, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. You will be asked to confirm, because the action cannot be undone. Your data is removed immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — Ask us, by email
If you cannot sign in, or you no longer have the app installed, email contact@daedalusdatalabs.com with the subject Delete my Meridian account.
Send it from the email address the account uses — that is how we confirm the request is yours. We do not ask for a password, and you should never send us one. We action these within 30 days and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
Either route removes the same things:
- Your account record — email address and name.
- Your watchlists, price alerts, and saved screens.
- Your notification settings, score-alert opt-in, and any device push tokens.
- Any linked brokerage connection. The connection is revoked at our aggregation provider, SnapTrade, so the read access itself ends — not just our copy of it.
- Holdings, portfolio snapshots, and value history derived from a linked brokerage.
- Any support messages or feedback you sent us, including the message text.
- Operational log entries that name you.
- Your selected state of residence and cached portfolio performance data.
What is kept, and why
One record survives: your terms-acceptance record. It holds the email address you accepted under, the US state you selected, which version of the terms you accepted, when, and the IP address and browser identifier the acceptance came from.
It exists solely as proof that the agreement was entered into, which is precisely the circumstance in which it cannot be deleted on request. It is never used for anything else — not analytics, not marketing, not to re-identify you. This is the only exception, and it is stated in full in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
Timing
In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Everything is permanently removed within 30 days, which covers routine encrypted backups aging out, except where the law requires us to retain something.
Deleting only some of your data
You do not have to delete your account to remove data:
- Watchlists, price alerts, and saved screens can be removed individually in the app at any time.
- Disconnecting a linked brokerage revokes our read access at SnapTrade and deletes the stored connection, including its encrypted access token. The holdings and value history already recorded are kept, so that unlinking a broker for a week does not erase your history — email us if you want those removed as well.
- Anything else — email contact@daedalusdatalabs.com from the address on the account and name what you want deleted. Same 30 days, same confirmation reply.
Your subscription
If you subscribed on the web (card payment): deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately, as part of the same request. You are not billed again. The remainder of the period you already paid for is not refunded, because access ends with the account.
If you subscribed in the app (Apple or Google): deleting your account does not cancel it. Apple and Google own that billing relationship and no action we take can end it — only you can. Cancel it in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions, or in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS. Do that first, or you will keep being charged for an app you no longer have an account on. The app warns you about this before you confirm deletion.
